To achieve

Reduce roadway-related fatalities. DOT carries out a range of critical efforts to reduce roadway fatalities. Based on this work, by September 30, 2025, DOT’s reporting will show that roadway fatalities have decreased from 1.37 per 100 million vehicle miles traveled (VMT) in calendar year 2021 to the target of 1.22 in calendar year 2023.
