As we reflect on the 2023 #CXDay campaign, we want to thank all the agencies, organizations, leaders, and individuals who joined us in celebrating the CX milestones and changemakers across the Federal Government. This year’s #CXDay, coinciding with National Customer Service Week 2023, provided an opportunity to highlight how we’re delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Let’s recap some highlights from this year’s campaign.
Performance.gov PMA Fireside Chat
On October 3, the Performance.gov team hosted the PMA Fireside Chat: Transforming Federal Customer Experience. The event featured Robin Carnahan, Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA), Loren DeJonge Schulman, Associate Director for Performance and Personnel Management at the Office of Management and Budget, and GSA Director of Technology Transformation Services Ann Lewis. Together, they engaged in a fireside chat to discuss how the PMA is enabling a modernization and transformation of the way the Federal Government delivers its services to the American people.
If you missed the live event, don’t worry! You can catch up by watching the complete video of the webinar below. The video includes closed captioning for accessibility.
CX for the People
Throughout the campaign, the Performance.gov team and numerous others took to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other platforms to share their appreciation for the CX changemakers from across the Federal Government.
The Social Security Administration highlighted their online services, which help individuals with everything from checking their application status to filing an appeal. Their efforts make it easier and more convenient for people to access Social Security benefits and information.

At the heart of CX are dedicated individuals working to deliver public services for the people. Performance.gov recognized and celebrated Jean Fox from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a leader in the federal user experience space. Jean is instrumental in ensuring best practices and knowledge are effectively shared across the government CX community.
The Department of Commerce organized a symposium where experts in government customer experience came together to share their knowledge and insights on customer experience in government.
